Master cleanse.

This is my daily log of attempting the Master Cleanse as a weightloss mechanism. Also, as some of you guys know, I was recently rehabed for an addiction to several pain meds (it's a long story, but I'm doing really well now) and this is supposed to help flush out toxins in the body. It's basically a 'restart' button for your digestive system.

The fast:

Take one 16 oz bottle of water, pour out about 1/4 of the bottle and add:

4tbs of lemon juice (Fresh squeezed or organic with no addatives! very important)
4tbs of REAL maple syrup (not maple-flavored sugar syrup, the ingredients should just be maple)
a pinch of Cayenne Red Pepper, more or less to taste

Shake up to mix and drink about 6 bottles a day, or whenever you feel hungry. Water is the only other thing you're allowed to have on this fast. No booze, no juices, no sodas.

The fast lasts for 10 days. Weightloss is anything from 5-15 lbs. (I'm aiming for 15 or more since I'm going to be working out daily while on this.)

Day one:

Just started three hours ago, so needless to say, I'm not hungry or tired yet. The mixture doesn't taste that bad, actually it's pretty refreshing. I'm thinking about freezing a bottle and making a slushy tommorow morning. The more of the pepper you add (within reason) the more full it makes you feel.

I'm going to be updating this daily, to keep track of when I feel tired and what it does to my moods and such. Really it's just a personal tool for me, but if you're interested in following along or doing it with me, feel free to comment!

<3
